Amon also known as Thebe is a simple Linux virus. It appeard in issue 7 of 29A magazine. When executed, it infects all ELF files in the current directory. The virus opens a shell on either port 5555 or 5556. It also has a few stealth features including entry-point obscuring and anti-debugging. It also restores the last date the file was modified.
